Hi, I'm Lily, or Niki, or NayNay. My real name, my other real name (aka, a short version of my middle name), and NayNay is what my sweet nieces call me. Nonetheless, I'm the same person. A wife, mom, book-lover, Francophile, amateur photographer, and horrible laundry-doer. All things I'm sharing on here, minus the laundry (whoops, scratch that. I just wrote this post).
SUMO DREAMS is my blog. Named such because I've always had an odd affection for sumos. Yes, those big Japanese wrestler men. But don't worry, this blog is not about those sumos. On this blog "sumo" just simply means "big". And Dreams, well that just refers to those things I've always wanted to get around to doing. Those things we all talk about doing "someday".
Honestly, I can't tell you exactly what this blog will consist of, I just feel led to do it. I've pinpointed Seth Godin as the catalyst. I'm a big fan of his, and just recently he was part of a conference phone call I set in on at work. I remember him suggesting people start a blog. I thought, ok, Seth, I hear ya. Then I saw this video of him and I loved the part where he says this about blogging, "It doesn't matter if anybody reads it. What matters is the humility that comes from writing it. What matters is the metacognition of thinking about what you're going to say." I love that. So I'm game. Thanks for following along.
